Welcome Newcomers

Thank you for your interest in our parishes. Whether you’re just visiting us for a brief time, looking for a new parish home, are returning to the practice of your Catholic faith, or are interested in finding out more about the Catholic Church, we’re happy to have you here. On behalf of our staff and all of the parishioners of our parishes, I want to personally welcome you to Mission Parishes of St. Peter, St. Anthony and St. Charles in San Francisco, CA.

When Jesus was asked which of all the commandments was the greatest, he replied, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind."  This is the great and first commandment.  And the second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.”  These two Commandments form the foundation of our mission at the Mission Parishes Love of God from which flows the love of neighbor.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass celebrated reverently and beautifully, is at the heart of the First of these Commandments.  Worship of God and the Eucharist is “the source and summit of our Christian life.”  From this worship of God, we at Mission Parishes then go out into the world to love our neighbor.  This love of neighbor begins at home, in serving each other in our parish family.

God has given each of us great gifts, gifts which He intends for us to use to help build His kingdom here on earth.  At Mission Parishes there are many opportunities to use the gifts God has given you to serve Him and His Church.  Please feel free to explore our website and Parish Bulletin to see where God may be calling you to participate in this mission.  We are very glad you are here and look forward to getting to know you.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Moises Agudo
Pastor

A parish is a community of believers and a spiritual family that is supportive and loving. It can be a place to grow spiritually, to put your faith in action, and to use our gifts of time and talent as disciples of Christ. We look forward to answering any questions you may have.
